| Field Operations Specialist |
|
|

Field Operators work within our field survey team installing our state-of-the-art laser mapping (LiDAR) instruments in small fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters. As part of our team, the System/Field Operator's unique professional skills and technical experience with airborne laser mapping systems, particularly the Optech ALTM family of instruments, will be critical to the successful completion of our field projects.
This position will include participation in our Stock Option Plan.

Field campaign pre-planning and organization |

Airborne laser sensor installation and integration in to survey aircraft |

3.

|
In-aircraft laser sensor alignment and calibration. |
|
4.

|
Detailed flight line planning, including contingency planning, for each survey flight |
|
5.
|
|
Pilot and flight crew liaison |
|
6.
|
|
Airborne laser sensor operations during survey flights |
|
7.
|
|
Airborne GPS operations during survey flights |
|
8.
|
|
Briefing of data processors on flight details and data collection |
|
9.
|
|
Collection of QC data |
|
10.
|
|
Assist with preliminary QC of GPS data |

Assist with preliminary QC of laser data |
| 12. |
|
Routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laser sensor. |

| Knowledge and Skill Requirements |
|
|
1.
|
|
Excellent reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. |
|
2.
|
|
LiDAR experience a definite plus |
|
3.
|
|
Aerial Survey and GPS practices a definite plus. |
| 4. |
|
Ability to persuade and influence others. Ability to develop and deliver presentations. Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. |
|

|
Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the team and to our clients. |
|
6.
|
|
Work will require occasional travel to current and potential clients. This requires the possession of a valid state drivers license and valid credit card for hotels, vehicle rentals, etc… |

Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and may require between 0% and 100% travel in any given month. |

|
Analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions, and implement recommendations in support of goals. |

Education Requirements: A two-year associates degree and/or 1 to 2 years work experience. |
|
|
|
| A 45-50hr. workweek is required with a great salary/benefits/retirement/bonus package.
