Business Development Representative on the Sales and Marketing team in the geospatial/mapping industry.

Airborne 1 Corporation provides LiDAR services for topographic surveying and mapping. In the past, we have primarily marketed our services to photogrammetry, surveying and mapping professionals, but we are expanding into many new exciting verticals that require the time and energy of highly motivated salespeople.  Summary
As part of Airborne 1’s Sales and Marketing team, you will initially report to the Director of Sales and support our Key Accounts Manager, working with current clients to learn our business and processes, job pricing and the preparation of proposals/contracts. You would then move to our New Business Development team depending on experience and learning curve, to begin coordinating external sales activities, generating new leads, responding and following up on qualified leads, preparing sales presentations, occasionally visiting with potential clients, and closing sales. You will develop sector-specific sales targets, assist with the implementation of the corporate sales plan, and interface with the inside sales personnel, client services and operations to ensure adequate project execution.

  Primary Responsibilities
1.
  Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients.
2.
  Follow up on new leads and referrals.
3.
  Prepare cost estimates, proposals and sales contracts.
4.
  Maintain tracking spreadsheets and databases.
5.
  Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned
6.
  Help prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made.
7.   Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
8.   Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
9.   Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up.
10.   Identify and resolve client concerns.
11.   Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
12.   Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales.
13.   Other duties as assigned.
  Additional Responsibilities
1.
  Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and marketing events.
2.
  Keep in tune with the LiDAR and mapping industry to keep competitive
3.
  Follow-up for collection of payment.
4.
  Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery of merchandise and services.
5.
  Provide on-the-job training to new sales employees.
  Knowledge and Skill Requirements
1.
  Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
2.
  Some technical knowledge in the GIS, Geospatial, Photogrammetry, Surveying and/or Mapping industries.
3.
  Ability to persuade and influence others. Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of sales promotion techniques. This is normally acquired through a combination of the completion of a Bachelor's Degree and some sales or marketing experience.
4.
  Maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public
5.
  Work requires some national travel to current and potential clients. This requires the possession of a valid state drivers license within 60 days of employment
6.
  Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel
  Working Conditions
Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Hours are flexible with core hours from 9am to 6pm is required.  Occasionally requires evening work.
